Bottle from Daily Deli, Amsterdam, Netherlands on Thursday 29.09.11 we sat outside Frank (camper) at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer on a truly gorgeous, wonderfully warm sunny evening. Pours a muddy chocolate brown with no head to speak off. Quite thick in the mouth, grainy chocolate, good blast of decent cocoa and nicely roasty. Very much easier to drink than the abv might suggest. Lovely if a little grainy in mouth, I rather like this though, some spirit, nice beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

33cl bottle @ home. Nice dark brown/red color, medium sized off-white color. Smell malts, sweetness, alcohol. Taste malts, sweetness, alcohol and somehow influences of wood. Nice long and strong aftertaste, lingering a bit sweet, a bit alcoholic but pleasant finish.

Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 11.5%. Beautiful ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Nice malty aroma, caramel and vinous notes, hints of oak and dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. Oak, malts and caramel in the flavour. The alcohol is noticeable. Bitter finish.

Bottled 330ml (BB 12/2012)
Thanks to bierkoning. Deep ruby color, small beige head, some lace. Sweet berryish, bready, dark malty aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Alcoholic front. Flavor is also a bit berryish, but has strong licorice, rye bread with salty finish. Strong warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Quite well-brewed extra strong bock.

At a tasting, thanks YK23, very murky red colour, aroma of cherries, wood and nuts, very strong malty flavour with pronounced but not obtrusive alcoholic presence, some hints of charred wood in the back. strong and not to complex, but still quite good.

Hazy ruby brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, black bread, fruit and a hint of smoke. Sweet flavour of dried fruit, malt and spice with vineous alcohol and a touch of smoke in the finish. Very powerful beer and reasonably balanced.
