Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, overpowered by the peat - smoke and medicine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, for me not much else than peat and medicine ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110923]

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Pitch black, opaque color, off-white head. Smell alcohol, wood, whisky. Taste roastyness, wood, whisky; very nice. Good carbonation and a full body.

Draft at BBF 2011. Almost black, thick brown head. Aroma of burnt espresso, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is burnt coffee grounds. Nice stuff.

Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival, 2011. Pours black with a small creamy head and lacings. Tar, whiskey and vague smoke and roast. Smooth and oily.

Draft at BBF 2011. Black pour with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour has whiskey, bitter hops and roasted malt.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked and light plastic. Bitter, dark malty and smoked. Ashtray. Bitter, dark malty and smoked finish.
