Cask at the brewery. Fairly dark. Inky, bourbony, lots if molasses on the nose. Soft cask palate. Maybe a bit too flat. Burnt fruit taste with high bitterness and only a little of that bourbon influence. Ok - would have been better on keg.

Cask at the brewery
The color is near black, with barely any head. The aroma brings delicate notes of roasted malts and dark bread, with a hint of coffee. It’s not a super sweet Imperial Stout, so the cask conditioning plays positively, with lower carbonation levels and less cold temperatures; the blend of dark chocolate and roasted malt is very nice too; smooth and seducing, a bit more astringent in the final, with very good alcohol management.
I wouldn’t think of bourbon if I were not told. Balanced.
Excellent.

Cask - Light bourbon and dark roast. Deep jet black with a decent brown head. Tons of roast, nice bitterness with a long finish. Very solid.

On cask at Main Street, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of roasted malt and bourbon oak chips. Flavour is complex, with notes of roasted malt, bourbon, oak and vanilla. So much smoother than the regular, abrasive 2015 version of Stag & Pheasant. Complex and elegant. Excellent.
