Poured from cask. Black with small beige head. Quite fruity, feint nuttiness, dry, mild chocolate. Decent.

Noice black body and minimal white foam on top. Aroma is roastedd dried barley mixed with soya sauce. Flavour is sharp heavy coffee and some barley ash followed by a creamy finish. Kind of good but the roastiness is a little too harsh, they need to pull back a little and let the ingredients sing (sing!).

on tap. Pours a very dark brown with light white head. Aromas of nuts, coffee, and dry roasted malts. Flavors of same with emphasis on nutty. Possibly some resiny hops. Pretty much a simple easy drinking porter

Draught at Callister
Black color with tan head. In the aroma, some roasted nuts, cardboard. The light residual sweetness blends well with the roasted malts and dark chocolate, into a fresh fruity finish.
Balanced, very nice.

Draft - Roasty, dark raisin and some dark fruity notes. Jet brown with a light brown head. Nice roast, some chocolate and dark fruit. Pretty nice.

On tap at Callister, pours black with a slight reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma is quite roasty for a porter, with roasted malt upfront, followed by some coffee and fairly prominent hoppiness. Flavour is along the same lines, though with less roast than the nose suggests, featuring toasted nuts, toasted bread and a bit of dry cocoa. A touch of coffee as well. Very smooth and drinkable. Ordinary but well-constructed porter.
