Tap @ De Drie Dorstige Herten. Brown coloured with a light beige head. Nose is slight toasted malts, some sourness, wet socks, slightly hoppy and caramel malts. Flavour is slightly malty, light hoppy, light metallic. A bit more rye and chocolate malts and you’ve got yourself a real black ipa.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit, liquorice, laurel, roasted malts, smells good and potent. Flavour is less pronounced, some roast, liquorice, chocolate, laurel, grapefruit, coffee and liquorice bitter finish with some hops. Light-bodied. Nice, but could’ve used a bit more body.

330ml bottle. Ruby red glowing darkest brown colour with average to huge, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Citrusy herbal hop aroma with a grassy touch, earthy, malty background. Taste is slightly tart, citrusy hoppy, herbal, dry roasty dark malty, some lemon, some orange zest. A bit weird a mixture, but not bad.
