This is what happens when you think about beer too much. Take our Universale Pale Ale, age it on medium-toast American White Oak, dryhop with Chinook hops and wait until the magic happens. Have you had a Little Woody lately?

Draught at the brewery
Hazy dark blond color. Nice aroma, delicate and earthy, light manure. The mouthfeel is rather dry, the base Pale Ale is lean, with crackery malts, and it has some evident whiskey or bourbon touch; dry finish. Itβs actually quite drinkable.
Interesting idea, and pretty good result.

On tap at Fremont, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of oak, mineral notes and some light hoppiness. Flavour is odd, with notes of crackery malt, mineral notes and oaky vanilla. Not sure why they'd oak a pale ale, but it doesn't really work.

Bottle shared by Skyview. A simple beer in a style that can be boring. Bitter hop aroma and hops in the flavor, balanced by malt.

Sample at the brewery taproom. The beer pours a deep bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of floral hops, oak and fruit. Light to medium body with an oaky character and flavors of citrus and caramel malt. The finish is oaky with an earthy hops aftertaste. Decent brew that trumps the base beer in my opinion.
