Have you ever wanted to drink a chocolate cookie? We did, so we came up with our Stout. We filled it with Oats, Crystal and Chocolate malts, making it a dark beer with a pleasing sweetness and subtle roasted finish. To top it all off, we balanced our specialty grains with premium Pale malt and a meticulously monitored fermentation, leaving it so full-bodied it’s a beer you can practically chew!

Poured from the tap. Near black with tan head. Lots of bitter cocoa powder with touch of coffee. Lacking cohesiveness and subtlety.

Modest brown body with just a bit of foam. Aroma is soft roasted barley. Flavour is mellow roasted barley with a watery finish. Average and adequate for a porter.

Dark brown. Aroma is chocolatey, fudgey. Sweet front, very chocolatey. Medium bitterness. I wouldn’t call it nuanced but I like the character.

Draught at the brewery
Black color with small head, sparse large bubbles. Aroma I roasted malt, and a bit of cardboard. The mouthfeel is quite dry but also smooth; strong roasted malt flavor, with a bit too much liquorice, also salty; relatively strong bitterness; the final is a bit harsh, and astringent, there are some ashes.
Quite good Stout, solid.

On tap at Green Leaf, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out bittersweet dry chocolate, powdery dry roast, and a touch of coffee. Flavour brings out dry powdery roasted malt, chocolate, and some oat qualities. Very dry and moderately chocolatey, with a medium body. Flavours would rise up more when warmer no doubt. A very well-made stout.
