Draught at Alibi Room
Black color with creamy tan head. It has a mild aroma of roasted malt and oatmeal. The mouthfeel is very dry, on the weak side; roasted malt is the dominant flavor, with a hint of dark chocolate, but it has a kind of elegance that elevates it above similar Stouts. Coffeish final.
Very nice.

On tap. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of black coffee. Flavors of dry roasted barley and burnt coffee with some grainy medicinal notes. Sharp and dry with a light sweetish finish. A bit odd but OK.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a very large brown head. Aroma is very English smelling, with harsh metallic notes, English malt and crusty rye bread. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of dry crusty rye bread crust, and some burnt and metallic notes. Bone dry, with no residual sweetness. Seems a bit metallic and burnt for my liking, but bursting with flavour. True to style, just not my type of thing.
