An ultra-experimental mish mash of styles. This is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock.

A big, bold mouthfeel backed by some powerful banana and classic weizen notes, balanced by an ecclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Brambling Cross).

The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffie pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.

This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz.

Bottle kindly shared by silvester, thanks pal! Rich aroma of grapes and raisins. Low carbonation, cocoa beans. Med to full body giving you excursion from chocolate and raisins, some light alcohol. Tasty. Not worth the money though.

Bottle 3082 of 9992 of 10.06.2013. Red amber color. Excellent aroma: sweet and malty, plum wine, white sweet sherry and oak. Taste powerful: very malty, white sherry, wood and sun-dried banana, dried fruit, raisins. Like.

Bottle, 2013. Pours clear reddish Amber, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is boozy, vanilla, toffee, oak. Flavor is quite sweet, light bitter, oak, toffee, hints of clove, sherry. Medium body, lingering bitterness. No longer much of a weizenbock, but what it has become is interesting in its own right.

Bottle [from trade with Scopey I think, thanks Paul!] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Judyvv. Red-brown color, quickly disappearing off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweet, sweetish alcohol, some dark sugar, lightly bitter in the finish. Not bad, but it’s not my style.
