A big, bold mouthfeel backed by some powerful banana and classic weizen notes, balanced by an ecclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Brambling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffie pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz.

An orange-brown body with no head. The nose is a bit of a masterpiece featuring raisins, brandy, plums, brown sugar and toffee malts. The taste is all that and more - a deep mixture of raisins, leather, toffee, banana, ripe dark berries, tobacco, candied fruit and a nice booze burn. It is very full bodied and rich with a slight sweet stickiness. They don’t stand out, but there are hops under all those layers of taste holding the whole thing up. Although there is no head, there is a slight effervescent effect which helps mitigate the sweetness. A real treat.

37,5cl bottle @ unexpected tasting 01/08 in Bratislava. No real head. Colour is dark brown, opaque. Aroma is malty, dark dried fruits, chocolate, plums, bit honey, oxidized touch. Taste is full malty base, dark bread, plums, cocoa, bit warming alcohol, vinous touch, madeirization, no carbonation, still good one.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief foamy head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, burnt sugar, treacle-toffee, oak wood, ripe banana and treacle. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, oak wood, burnt sugar, treacle, banana, toffee, dark chocolate, prunes, raisins and a vinous finish with fairly low bitterness. Full body, sweet. Interesting and fairly tasty, but too sweet and unbalanced. Mainly about burnt sugar. Still, quite nice.

375ml bottle, sampled Nov 2015. Pours clear amber brown with slim tan head. Aroma: raisins, caramel, toffee, banana esters. Taste: heavy sweet, rich, dried fruits, dark fruits, molasses, caramel, toffee. Medium body, light carb, warming boozy finish. Way too sweet for me

Bottle. Dark amber color. Malty caramelly soft spicy nutty aroma. Very sweet, nutty flavor with caramel, hints of cognac and dried fruit. Milk chocolate. Hardly any carbon. Alcohol totally hidden. Hardly recognizable as a weizenbock, but well done.
