An ultra-experimental mish mash of styles. This is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock.
A big, bold mouthfeel backed by some powerful banana and classic weizen notes, balanced by an ecclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Brambling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffie pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz.

Keg at Brewdog Brum. Pours a hazy caramel with a medium head. Aroma is toffee, raisin, banana and a little alcohol. Taste has lots of toffee to start with a wheaty banana finish. Raisin on the aftertaste.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks avrashi. Murky amber-brown. Aroma of caramel, spicy phenols, honey, some fruitiness and alcohol. Sickly sweet flavor, boozy, spicy, with some fruitiness and lots of caramel and honey. Medium-bodied, a bit sticky and boozy. Sweet, boozy and one-dimensional.

On tap at Christian Firtal. Amber with a small white head. Aroma of oak, banana and lacquer with notes of apple and pear. Sweet malty flavour with banana and fruit. Way too sweet and sticky and alcoholic, but at least a clean, faultless brew.

Bottle from beers of Europe. Colour I’d cloudy dark red brown with almost no head. Aroma of banana and toffee. Taste really is reminiscent of banoffee pie.

Hazy amber with a low white head - huge wood and vanilla aroma - The wood and the vanilla olso dominates the taste, but there is some hints of malts in the back - Finish is again all wood and vanilla - Interersting and nice

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate starts smooth but has a minerally carbonated nip on the back end. Malt cream and rich toffee including a bitter toffee streak, burned toffee even. Banana candy sweets, quite strong. Goes back to toffee before the smooth finish. Bitter toffee linger. Achieves is stated bannoffee pie vibe very well. Initially it was too much but as my palate adjusted I got in to this.

Abstrakt 01 - 25 Vertical @ Brewdog Sheps Bush. Hazy amber beer, short lived bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, pretty modest carbonation. Caramel sweet malts. Tangy caramel covered ripe fruits, little spice. Always a sweet beer, age hasn't changed that. 3.4
