An ultra-experimental mish mash of styles. This is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock.
A big, bold mouthfeel backed by some powerful banana and classic weizen notes, balanced by an ecclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Brambling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffie pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz.

Bottle at JF’s, from BD Online, 26/12/13 - I dedicate this the DonMagi rate for the 5596 he closed on and an appropriate brewer to do so with! Dark amber/orange with a thinnish off white covering. Nose is sweet smelling, fruit forward, apple skins, orange pith, toffee apple, caramel, stewed prunes, light booze. Taste comprises caramel, sugars, stewed prunes, dates, sweet tasting, orange peel, dark fruit mash, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure with a touch of booze. So so, lacks any great depth for the ABV, the weakest Abstrakt I’ve tried.

Draught@Beer Hunters, Pori. Deep amber colour, small head. Aroma is iquorice, some alcohol and glue along with wheat and rubber. Flavour is gluelike sweet, alcoholic, soem fruity and sweet malty notes along with a bit wheaty sweetness as well. Overly sweet, which makes it rather harsh.

0,375 bottle, nr 1579. Aroma is very rich bready malt, phenols, raisins, fruits, banana, also reminds a little bit regular wheat beer. Pours hazy brown with big light tan head. The head stays for some time, thin line for a long time. Taste: dark fruits, malt, spices, wheat, slight sweetness. Finish is fruity, some congnac like elements, slightly sour, sweet and very nice bitter. It is very creamy. Alcohol is noticeable, but not distracting. Overall: my first Weizenbock and I really love this one. Very complex and exciting beer.

Draught @ BrewDog Camden, 113 Bayham Street, London, Greater London, England NW1 0AG.Unclear - hazy medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol, buzzy, banana, moderate hoppy, light oxidide. Flavour is heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet fruit - dried fruit, alcohol, dried fruit. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20130812]

Bottle - Amber with a slight haze. Dried fruit, banana and toffee in the aroma. Banana, sultanas, peach and toffee in the taste. Not bad, but it becomes a bit sickly after a while.

Bottle at Dean’s Pale Lager tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark amber with no life at all. The aroma is fruity rich malt. The flavour is medium sweet. Heavy bodied with a sweet malty yeast palate. Nice but too sweet for me.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours cloudy amber with a small off white head. Aroma of worty malty caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A sugar bomb and not too much more.
