On tap at Bar Hop King Street TO. Hazy red russet colour lasting beige head. Fruity malty aroma. I like the aroma a lot. Jammy. Strawberry jam. Not overly bitter. Pretty good jam.

Bottle pour split at Matt’s. Glad we cleared up this major curiosity on whether this was an imperial stout or not. Pours a reddish bronze (first clue) with a patchy fizz head. Aroma is slightly sour but the flavor doesn’t agree. Maybe comes in late. New style to me, but an enjoyable beer.

Tasting at Matt’s
Unclear dark brown with medium sized head. Some aroma of candi sugar. Good body; dark malts, with a earthy side, moderate residual sweetness, and final warming alcohol.
Nice beer, solid.

Bottle - Sweet raisin and fruity notes. Murky brown with a light brown head. Lots of fruity raisin, sweet barrel notes and a long finish. Better than expected.

500mL bottle, pours a murky opaque dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, some brown sugar, a little caramel, and a bready malt. Flavour is very complex, with notes of brown sugar, red wine barrels, Belgian yeast, oak and some bready malt. Surprisingly cohesive and complex. About as good as I could've hoped for an Ontarian BA dubbel. Really nice.
