Draught @ Alibi. Golden. A light continental hop nose. On the palate, more continental hops and a fair amount of heavy pale malts., Some diacetyl...they say it’s allowable for the style but I still don’t like it.

Who the hell knew Port Moody had microbreweries? The alibi room, apparently. Has a very soft malt aroma, modest head with lacing, good gold body. Flavour is great -lemon, grain, malt, balanced with hints of rice and orange. Really smart. I often wonder how many microbreweries Vancouver can handle, and I have to say so far that the quality and competition is fierce.

On tap at Twin Sails, pours a clear dull pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of grassy hops, crisp crackery malt and some straw. Flavour is very crisp, dry and biting, with grassy hops and crackery malt in great balance. Pretty damn authentic for a Canadian pils. Dry and biting, but very well balanced. A really nice pilsner - definitely one of the best local ones.

2017-07-14, can from the brewery, 6-3-6-3-12=30
Decent Pilsner, but too mellow, flat, more crispness is needed, and more grassy hops.

Hazy golden color, small head. Compared to the previous time: cleaner look, less malt flavor, similar herbaceous (and in minor measure grassy) hops.
Still a nice Pilsner, less surprising though.

Hazy and dark blond, with almost no head; unusual look for a Pilsner. Those dry malts are almost biscuity, and the hopping is herbaceous and grassy; the aroma is maybe a bit mild, but the flavor delivers the goodness. Balanced and satisfying.
This one is very promising and I will get back to it later, again, to see how it improves.

Draft - Nice derails and grains. Clear pale gold with a decent white head. Sweet light grains and a grainy finish. OK.
