Sour Raspberry is the 5th beer of our seven core beers.
This beers aroma is fresh raspberry and plain yogurt.
Sour Raspberry flavor is the perfect blend of fresh ripe raspberries and a refreshing tartness from the lactic acid created by the lactobacillus bacteria used in fermentation.
This beer has fresh raspberries from a local farm. Also this beer has won multiple awards. The first award was 1st at the Canadian beer awards in the fruit beer category and 2nd at the BC beer awards in the same category.

Lots of sweet sourness on the nose, minimal head, bright red colour but not too overbearing. Sweetness, sugariness aroma, lots of raspberry but in a fake kind of way. Sourness for sure but not in a good way, no funkiness, just refined sour raspberry juice to be honest. Not too disgusting but not really that exciting either.

Bottle: Poured a deep reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of fresh tart raspberry notes is pretty enticing. Taste is a mix of tart raspberry notes with light funky yeast notes. Body is about average with good retention. Well brewed beer with good drinkability but maybe a tad short on complexity level.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a raspberry color with a white head. Aroma is just amazing, it brings loads of raspberry, red currant notes, and some lacto. Taste is pretty the same, very smooth, with a very good balanced sweetness and sourness. I have no words except - it is just perfect fruity sour.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly tart raspberries, some citrus and light lacto. Flavour is lightly tart, with citrus, lacto and faded raspberries in good mix. A big lacto bomb with a yogurty palate. Not overly complex but drinks well enough. Decent.

Bottle - Tart, lightly acidic, black and raspberries. Pale pinkish copper with a frothy light pink head. Sweet, tart and a bit jammy with some nice berry notes. Although not great, it shows lots of promise.
