Draft - Dark fruit, estery and some slight banana. Deep brown with a beige head. Estery, raisin and touch of plum. OK,

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown color, seems cloudy, with beige head. Some aroma of banana and stale dirty water, not uncommon among Dunkelweizens. The mouthfeel is quite weak, it has some more roasted nut flavor than other examples, light liquorice, light banana, a bit too much yeast astringency in the final.
Very chaotic; the style is less easy to brew than one would think, and this one doesn’t nail it; depending on preferences could be considered so-and-so or a train wreck. I wouldn’t drink it again.

On tap at Bomber, pours a deep dark brown with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma brings out considerable toasted malt, some chocolate and banana. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt and cocoa upfront, with a little banana and wheat in back. Well-balanced and clean, but pretty simple and lacking complexity. Good.
