Flight pour at Steamworks Mt Pleasant. Pours clear gold with small white head. Aroma is pretty weak. Flavour has punchy pine hops, a touch of citrus peel; almost too cloying. Quite rough.

Poured from the tap. Hazy amber with small white head. Biscuit malt, earthy hops with light pine finish. The simplicity is appreciated.

Lighter cloudy brown body, okay foam, sweet hops on the nose with a hint of malt. Flavour is sweet vegetably hops and a bit of malt on the back end. Crisp finish, good oiliness. Reasonably decent.

Fresh mango and some citrus. Pours hazy orange with good head and lacing. Pretty nice. Fairly clean finish. Nice little beer. Tap.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy amber, bubbly head. Has a leafy hop nose. Light caramel, earthy and piney hop taste, nice malt balance. A bit caramel bit a bit toasty as well. Nice brew - good hop notes and they used enough to make a difference.

2016-10-02. Tall can from the brewery. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma brings loads of piney hops. Taste and aftertaste are pretty the same, not so intensive, though, but very fresh. Good stuff.

2017-10-06. Tall can from High Point. Canned on 2017-10-02. Colour is still amazing. Aroma is non very intense with piney hops notes. Similar taste with high piney bitterness. Solid stuff, but I suppose the previous year was better.

Last can of the season, I suppose.
Smooth and balanced, the hops are a bit resiny, the fruitiness is just mentioned, the malts don’t play an important role, it hs a fundamental earthy character, and the freshness is missing. It wasn’t spectacular one month ago, it’s not better today.

2016-10-11, can, 8-4-7-4-15=38
The hops are more resinous than fruity or citrusy, and the malts are a bit biscuity; at least the mouthfeel is very dry, but still this beer has a lot of hops, but doesn’t have bright hop character.

2016-10-03, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7% ABV, 10oz, 8-5-7-3-15=38
Hazy golden color, small head. The hop aroma is fresh and fruity, but the flavor is slightly earthy, and the final lightly vegetable. Very good, but I liked it more last year.

2015-10-12, can from Steamworks Liquor Store, 8-4-8-5-17=42
Hazy golden color, small head. The hop aroma is immediate, as soon as the can is opened; pungent and fruity hops in the nose, nice piney resins. The mouthfeel is off-dry, not weak; it has some pleasant biscuity and crackery malt in the background, while the hops are loaded with resiny and piney quality, a lot of citrus peel too.
This beer, this year, is one of the very few in BC to capture the essence of fresh hops and deliver full hoppyness; I could see also this hopping with a bolder blond IPA, next time.
Excellent.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very fresh, with leafy hops, some pine and biscuity malt to back. Flavour is very fresh, with loads of piney, leafy hops, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Well-balanced and super fresh. Really good stuff.
