Cloudy, chestnut. Has a banana nose with some toasty malts. Palate is balanced towards the sweetish, with light banana, pear and toast. Ok.

On tap at Big Rock, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, some licorice, and crusty bread. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of licorice upfront, followed by crusty bread and toasted malt. Too much licorice for my taste. A potent dunkelweizen, but not to my liking.

Draft - Nice cooked banana, not too strong and some caramel. Dirty brown with a nice beige head. Banana and some toasted malts. Not too sweet and the toast adds complexity. Not bad.

Draught at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
Dark brown color. The aroma brings out some banana first, then some caramel. Nice caramel flavor, with a hint of biscuits and banana, light Weizen spices, and very moderate residual sweetness. Some roasted nuts in the final.
Appreciated for its balance and for not being sweet. Very nice.
