Draft - Lots of coconut and dark chocolate, like a bounty bar. Jet black with a nice brown head. Just as it smells with a nice bitterness. A bit light on the palate, but otherwise nice.

A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, loads of coconut oil, dark fruits, molasses, very nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet fruity chocolate malt with light fruity notes, coconut oil, nutty notes, nice. Cask Days 2014.

(On tap at A Night with GLB and Amsterdam Brewery @ Bar Hop, Sept 19 2014. Clear dark brown with a large tight tan head, lots of lace. Aroma lots of chocolate and fresh brewed coffee, coconut underneath, slight sweetness, moderate roast. On the palate drier, unsweetened chocolate powder, some lighter coffee notes, coconut is pretty restrained and the beer is pretty dry with a roast finish that emphasizes coffee. Coconut buttery character increases overall as it warms. A tick watery without highly concentrated flavours, but nicely drinkable porter. I would’ve liked a slightly bigger beer, probably personal taste really; my girlfriend thought it was very good.
