Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, light spices. Flavour is moderate sweet with a nice bitter finish. Very hoppy for a Bock. Not being a fan of sweet Bocks, this is a welcome deviation from the style.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy reddish brown coloured brew with an fruity Americanesque hoppy bitter taste. Not the quite the Doppelbock i be used too.

On tap at 'T Taphuys Utrecht. Brown with beige head. Caramel, malty, sweetish, bit toasted, somewhat herbal, bitterish finish, watery. Light to medium bodied.

330ml bottle. Clear, brown-ish, darkest ruby colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous-beige to tan head. Rather weak, mellow, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, caramel. Taste is sweet and bitter, dark malty, slightly toasty, caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, bitter hoppy counterpart with cautious, unspecific fruity overtones; slightly dry finish. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine and soft carbonation. Balanced though not completely harmonious, relatively weak aroma, fantastic colour, drinkable - not bad.

Fles thuis gedronken. Robijnrood bier met weinig schuim dat snel wegzakt. Aroma is houtig. Smaak van hout en karamel, de nasmaak is iets bitter.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het heeft een licht troebel roodachtige tot bruine kleur met een medium witte schuimkraag die een tijdje meegaat. De geur is moutig, zacht zoet en wat alcohol achtig. De smaak is moutig, caramel en wat bittere afdronk.
