Bottle. Brown color. Roastaroma. Malty sweetish roasty flavor with some caramelly notes. Bready. Medium bodied. Pear drups. Off the beaten track but nice enough.

Bottle at home. Brown color, beige head. I found the taste a bit flat for a bock. Also since the abv (7%) I expected a better one.

(Draught at Kafé België, Utrecht, 18 Feb 2018) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, caramel, liquorice and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, caramel, hints of liquorice and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Starts with nice hoppiness but disappears. Peppery sharp carbo and sweet bock backbone. Alright but with little conviction. Backlog from 2014/10/07. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bock 7 on 11 Oct 2014 at 20:46 - Score: 5. Original review text: Begint met veel hop maar blijft niet overeind. Peperig scherpe prik en zoete bokbasis. Wel lekker maar weinig overtuiging in de smaak.

Bottle at Café De Koffer, Groningen, Netherlands, Saturday 3rd October 2015 on the Bokbier challenge Hoppier than some of the others, it’s malty and murky, pouring dark brown with a light beige head. Nice malty beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
