Draft - Lots of sweet caramel and sweet hoppy notes. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Sweet then intense bitterness and a boozy bitter finish. Not good.

Draught at the brewpub as #18 Double IPA. Tastes like a DIPA, so I guess this is it. Piney and caramelly aroma. Almost clear dark amber colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is caramelly with a little pine. Slightly high bitterness. Hint of smoke, probably not intended, but not bad either.

(tap) clear amber, medium cream head; faint citrus aroma; balanced flavour; not bad but this is no imperial/double IPA - less IPA character than good regular IPAs
