VØLENBOCK is een kruising tussen een veulen en een bok. Elk jaar verschijnt hij in oktober op de dijk in Volendam om te paren. Het VØLENBOCK, is bronstig dus drink dit bier met respect.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, strong raisins, dried fruits, apple, brown sugar. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium with fairly lively carbonation. Drinkable but weak and dull Bock.

Tap Bokbierfestival, Amsterdam: The beer i tastes was not good maybe it was infected, 2.3 for the effort. I will rate this one later.

Fles 33cl thuis gedeeld. Suikers, caramel, wat chocolade, zoet, rood fruit. (6-10-2023).

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het aroma van caramel. De smaak is moutig, bitter met tonen van caramel en chocolade.

Maltaroma, vegetable-like. Roasted malt flavor with licorice, coffee and alcohol. Surprisingly dry with a good lacing. tap, Arendsnest: 2007 version. Light malt and caramelaroma. caramelly bitter flavor with just a touch of butter. Sweetish roasted bitter aftertaste. Smooth and well balanced.

Draught (PINT Bokbier Festival 2015, Amsterdam) - Hazy copper red in colour. Raisins and blackcurrant feature quite prominently in both the aroma and the taste. Easy to drink.

Boring bock beer. Thin body of the usual sweet malt, with the same spices and fruits everyone else uses.

Aroma has some raisin and caramel maltiness. Flavour has quite a good bitter taste with just a touch of sweetness from the raisin that comes through quite strongly in the finish.

Draft at Arendsnest. Pours hazy red brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, wort, gravy, sweet dried fruits and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
