We brew this trippel with a Trappist yeast strain to hold true to the traditional style. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit that finish with just a bit of clove. Although this beer has a slightly higher ABV, you will find it finishes very smooth and dry on the palette. This makes for a perfect summer sipper.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft. Orangée brumeuse, col épais blanc. Arôme présente un bouquet intéressant d’ester fruité suivi de notes florales. Palais présente ici aussi une belle note d’ester fruité tirant sur la banane pour un fini moyennement épicé et houblonné. Le palais reste dans son ensemble assez belge avec un ajout américain agréable. Pointe de malté tirant sur le caramel avec ce côté citronné finement amer sur la fin.

15 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Quite an atrocious label… Very hazy orange with a white flim for a head. Smell is very sweet BE yeast, candy sugar, white sugar, lightly booze, strongly sweet BE profile, fruity, touch spices,… Taste is sweet BE yeast, banana, quite over booze, white sugar, sweetly alcoholic, candy sugar, booze fruits and bitter esters, spices,… very BE. Hazy body. Certainly agreeable within the style.

Tap at Euston Tap - 12/12/12. Hazy blonde with a thin white head. Nose is big on Belgian yeast esters, light hoppage, orange peel, some spice. Taste follows, touch of booze but well integrated, straw, more fruity flavours, spice. Fullish bodied with fine carbonation. Decent.

355 ml bottle bought @ Ølbutikken. Pours very hazy deep golden with a rather small frothy white head that sticks to the glass while dissipating leaving some lacing and trace. Smell is sweet, yeasty and fruity with banana bread, lemon zest, white pepper, cookie dough, candi sugar, hay, green grapes, marshmallows and and hints of alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet and spicy with banana bread, plums, green grapes, yeasty esters, phenols, crackers, dry soil, hay, lemon zest, white pepper, allspice, alcohol, dry wood and orange zest. Mouthfeel is round, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and spicy with biscuits, crackers, dry soil, lemon peal, hay, white pepper, allspice, esters and phenols.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy yellowish orange color with lots of floaters. brief white head. Yeasty clove-like wheat malt aroma. Fruity wheat malt flavor, very little hops noticeable upfront. Tastes like a high gravity wheat ale. After a few swallows, you can appreciate the warming alcohol and bitter hops that come through. Not very "Abbey" like. No bad, just a little rough around the edges.
