The third in a serious of whatever we feel like brewing sour barrel aged saisons. This version has a bit of Munich malt, for a bigger malt body, but is still super dry and refreshing. Wild farmhouse ale aged in oak barrels.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with lots of red apple and pear. Lighter tropical fruit notes, hints of light berries and cherries and faint citrus. Medium light grain notes with some toasted bread and crackers. Pours an amber - copper color with a medium sized, thick, creamy, slightly off-white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a medium light acidity and medium light cracker malt notes. Lighter toasted bread and caramel. Medium light bitterness and light oak notes with a hint of alcohol. Moderately strong fruity notes of red apple, pear, cherry and berry. light citrus and tropical fruit notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer but its a bit too sweet and fruity; it feels like the malt didnt ferment out all the way.

At De Garde. Pours a orange color with a medium white head. A big malty sour nose. Odd one. Toffee, oaky vinous sourness, tart fruit, some white wine perhaps. Very sour at times, sharp woody lemons.

Bottle, pours an opaque dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of oak, earthy notes and light tartness. Flavour is very sour, with acetic notes, tart red fruits and yeast. Very acetic and oaky. Kind of burns the stomach but it works cohesively enough.
