Inspired by insomnia, the Kompaan 39 Bloedbroeder is a blackened imperial stout with an extra bloodtype: ruby port. Blood brothers: the strongest bonds that exist! This beer is brewed with a variety of malts (black and roasted) with little sweet notes, a bitter aftertaste, and at 9.1%, it has a light hoppiness. A beer to sit down with!

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black with brownish foam, very fine. Aroma is rich and sweet, of biscuit, caramel, marshmallow. Body is dense with a nice tickling carbonation and some stickiness. Taste is well balanced, with a nice bitter final from roasted malt. Finish is not particularly long.

Bottled. Thanks v&h! Almost black ruby body, tiny, off white head. Classic grainy malty aroma, creamy, sweet, vague raisins, slightly meaty. Taste... Cocoa, light tannic, caramel and chocolate touches, ends dry, dark chocolate. Quite nice overall.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Black coloured, small to medium sized brown head, chocolate and alcohol in the nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, wood, noticable alcohol and rather roasty finish. Nothing more than ok.

(tap 0,3l @ OP (Brno))
Aroma: Dark fruits, dark berries, raisins.
Appearance: Dark brown-black color. Minimal, light brown head.
Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, chocolate, dark malts, light roasty.
Palate: Medium-full body. Sticky texture. Light dry, light warm finish.
Overall: Good. Not so impresive for Imperial Stout.

Draught at the brewery, small creamy head, dark brown and red color, aroma of cherries and vanila, chocolate flavor, very light roastiness, hint of charcoal and wood, strong cheery sourness, quite dry. Quite light for and imperial stout and really easy to drink.

Bottle from Maakun in Euro Swap #1, thanks! Pours dark brown with huge beige head. Lightly ashy aroma with dark chocolate, liquorice, a little bit of peat and tar. Dark chocolate, some bitterness, roast in the taste. Woody, bitter finish with some tar.
