Bottle 0.5l. Clear, dark red to black colored. AROMA- cherries, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. FLAVOR- dry, bitter and tart, roasted malts, coffee, earthy tones, touch of chocolate. Medium bodied.
Very nice dry stout.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown almost black with red hue and a large, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, earth and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, caramel and ash with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Decent.

Pours black or almost so with a medium sized light brown/dark grey head that shows excellent retention and lacing. Aroma shows roasted malts, notes of coffee and chocolate, a slight soft milkish/sweet stout hint, maybe a touch of fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter, overall in perfect balance, following notes from the aroma. Light to medium in both body and carbonation, going down quite easy. Overall a very classic interpretation of a stout, and surely flawless. Couldn't find anything impressive about it though.

Bottle from Waitrose in Canary Wharf. A gorgeous pour into the tankard and a full-frontal assault from the burnt malt on the nose. This was taken to new levels with the flavour and it was fantastic. There is nothing subtle about this beer and not the smoothest thing I have drunk, but it was still lovely.
