Draft - Smoky and peaty dark malts. Jet black with a brown head. Sweet, smoke and peat. Touch of dark fruit and plum. Nice.

Dull brown, no head, big lapsang nose, smoky, lots of tea, probably extracted too many tannins, and the abv is way too high for this. Aggressive but lacks the refinement I would want.

On tap at Rogue Brewers on the Bay, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out loads of the super earthy, funky lapsang tea, and maybe a touch the porter qualities. Flavour is very rich, bringing out notes of chocolate, earthy tea notes, and residual syrupy sweetness. Surprisingly decadent and rich, so much better than the nose. Leaves a smoky touch on the finish. Solid stuff.
