Bomber. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium white head. A light earthy rye nose. The flavor is clear, rich spicy rye, caramel, lingering bitterness. Very good brew. The Amarillo adds a nice sweetness.

Hazy orange tinted copper coloured body with a dense, four centimetre tall tan head - very nice and tons of movement from the bottom. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, alcohol, a decent amount of malt and the slightest hint of rye - this one isn’t too noticeable in the nose. Medium-bodied; Noticeable rye grain in the flavour with a bit of an earthy bite and a little herbal and grapefruity bitterness from the hops coupled with a little alcohol kick. Aftertaste shows a good sweetish flavour from caramel and toffee coupled with a pungent alcohol and rye bite at the end - very nice balance, better than most rye ipas I’ve had. Overall, a nice beer and one that should be sampled, especially if you like rye-based IPAs. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Made in Oregon (Pioneer Square) in Portland, Oregon on 27-April-2013 for US$4.09 sampled at home in Washington on 28-May-2013.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours hazy amber with a 3 finger creamy off-white head. Aroma is rye and floral/citrus. Med body or better. Flavor is strongly rye spice with some floral and citrus hop. It tastes good, and it’s finishing nicely bitter. Pretty nice ale.
