A deep dark brown bock with a thick frothy creamy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark coffee, light mineral notes, herbaceous character, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light coffee notes, light cereals, light vanilla, pleasant and smooth.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear toasted amber with a small off-white head that dissipates. Strong coffee aromas with some vanilla, toasted malt and faint bread. More of the same on the palate. Coffee, vanilla, toffee and a light burned malt taste at the end. A bit thin in body, but a fun beer with lunch.

Keg at Craft. Dark amber reddy brown colour, not much head. Aroma is kahlua, coffee grounds, bit of smoke. Taste is coffee, bit burnt malt, nice and bitter. Quite interesting.

Bottle. brown color, cloudy. Malt, toffee and cappucino in the aroma. Malty sweet sugary flavor with toffee, caramel, hints of yeast. Coffee. Thinnish, not the thick maltiness of German doppelbocks. Just a hint of alcohol.

Lahev: Cloudy, amber coloured, smaller lacy off-white head; solid coffeeish and roasty nose, nutty and caramelly, too, accompanied by tannic and port-vinous aromas; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, quite soft; lingering - again - dryish coffeeish and vinous and bitter-malty finish. Very, very good…

Bottle @ Studenterhuset, Århus. Pours dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Aroma of malt, coffee, caramel, bread, wood, but also a strong vegetables note that i offen get in coffee beers. Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, bread, nuts, nice strong coffee, dark bitter chocolate. Medium body, soft carbonation, some warming alcohol. For me taste is alot better than aroma here, no veggies. 251014
