Named after the largest shark in Puget Sound, this India pale ale is a big beer with a little bite. Aromatic American hops lend a citrus and tropical fruit character to the nose and flavor while the malt backbone is balanced with a lingering bitterness on the back of the tongue.

Golden-amber, thin head, mellow earthy nose, maybe a touch of overripe fruit. Medium bitterness. Lots of malt, touch chewy, touch biscuity.

Draft 12 oz pour at Sound to Summit, Snohomish. Dark copper pour with a slow fading head. Malt heavy, caramel dominated aroma. Flavor leans on the malty side as well. Caramel. A heavy IPA feel for me. A bit toasty as well. Hops show up late, grassy, and quite bitter. An alright IPA for me.

On tap at Sound to Summit, pours a hazy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of citrus and resinous hops, along with tropical fruits and a fairly big caramel malt backbone. Flavour is little less pleasant, with a fairly harsh vegetal presence in there along with resinous and citrus hops, and a bready caramel malt backbone. Needs a bit of cleaning up, but it's not too bad.

Draft - Lots of sweet candy floss and caramel hops. Cloudy dark gold with a decent white head. Sweet orange and fruity notes, light bitter peel finish. Nice.
