Another brew using ginger. Why do breweries use it as an ingredient? It’ totally dominates and just tastes like any other ginger beer ever made. I can’t taste anything other than ginger. Meh. It’s earthy and pleasant, but not my bag.

Draft - Sweet ginger, almost pop like. Clear gold with a decent white head. Ginger and lots of carbonation. Meh.

Got this in their summer sampler. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a big creamy warm cap that stays quite a long time and with nice creamy lacing. Beautiful candy-sweet nose with spices, and the ginger-orange notes. The taste starts off with the ginger, but pretty mild and disappears quickly with not much left. Maybe some of the Belgian Ale yeast. Hints of fruitiness. Good looking, smells nice but no follow-up and finish. Too bad.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was ginger powder, sweetish, yeasty and musty. The flavor was very strong ginger powder, ginger ale, must and a bit of yeast. Long ginger powder finish. Medium body. Odd but interesting.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy dark blond color with compact head. Delicate malt aroma and flavor manages to surface, it’s a smooth beer overall, with correct bitterness and a mild ginger touch.
I don’t see a purpose in ginger beers, but have to say this one is well made nevertheless.
