Handcrafted from the Shinseiki and Kosui Asian pears, organically grown in the priatine Simjlmameen Valley. Aged bridfly with French oak, this golden wine announces bold aromas of fresh spicy pear and citrus. The delicate flavours speak poetically of melting ripe pear, lemongrass, vanilla, lychee, oam, with a light smooth finish.

750ml bottle, 2018 edition, listed as 13.0% abv. Pale straw body. The nose is alcoholic pear, some soft fruity roundness in there but it's not prominent, in fact alcohol is quite pungent over the whole thing. Letting it rest a little the pear comes more forward, sweet pear, and indeed the oak is well represented. Flavour is sweet pear, the alcohol is well hidden, oak hints abound. Nice mouthfeel, slightly crisp and tart, warming also. Well defined, but not especially complex. Seems like it would benefit from decanting - off to Wal-Mart I go.

Bottle sampled at Forbidden Fruit, pours brings out a very vanilla-like pears along with a very floral quality. Flavour is very floral, with a perfumey type of pear, along with a touch of vanilla. Smooth and dry on the finish. Excellent.

Bottle - Sweet Chinese pear and phenols. Pale yellow. Bit of oak and buttery, light peel bitterness, pear notes and very dry. Decent.

Pale green, aroma has a lot of alcohol, has a light pear character, a quick finish and is a bit underwhelming overall.

Glass at the winery, vintage 2010; aged 3 months in oak
Light blond color. Luscious aroma, seducing sweet pear, with grass, flowers, sweet spices... Smooth mouthfeel, with a lean backbone; it has fruity, delicate pear flavor, with correct acidity level. The final strength is only average.
Excellent, well balanced.
