2016-02-01, draught at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA, as Salt Dark Chocolate Sour, 4.6% ABV, 5-4-5-2-10=26
It tastes like a lame Dunkel, no chocolate, no salt.
Dark Amber Ale. What am I getting here? Not so good.

2016-02-01, draught at The Local, Bellingham, WA, as CoCo Gose, 4% ABV, 5-4-5-2-8=24
Dark amber color, almost brown. Tastes like soured light chocolate drink, or chocolate buttermilk; why would someone drink this?
Unpleasant.

Alright, I’m having this at Pit Stop like buckeyeboy did in December. Is this the keg???????? By the looks of this, I think so. Brown color veer. Look, this is exactly as it’s advertised - nose is light and full of cocoa powder, dry and chocolate. Then I sip it and the gose come through. It’s lacuna lacto, light, and completely juxtaposed to the cocoa. I know that is the goal but I don’t like it. No thank you. Novelty is all this is, otherwise it’s a monstrosity.

Draft 12 oz pour at Beveridge Place. Pours black with no head. Ib don’t think I’ve ever had a beer like this before. Coffee plays a major role in aroma and flavor, though it has a decent sour side. Coffee and sour are two flavors I never thought to put together. Seems to be working here just fine. Coffee dominant aroma. Flavor is dark fruit sour, light chocolate, and coffee. Lingering bold coffee and sour finish. Unique beer for sure. Bonus points for that. Definitely salty in a way. Black cherry maybe too? Very nice.

Draft - Roast dark malts. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Cocoa, toast and a light tart finish. Salts is barely there. Overall an odd concept.
