What a fun blonde beer this is. The nose is deliciously malty. The overall flavour is fruity, with hints of sweetness and a warm alcohol glow, which tapers off into a slightly bitter finish. We launched this classic beer in 1983, making it our oldest high-fermentation beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle.

Thx! 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Gollem. Golden, huge creamy white head. Smell is muted but sweet, white sugar with hay and light alcohol. Taste is sweet, boozy, white sugar, esters, white bread, touch hay. High carbonation. A very bland Belgian blond with a reasonable amount alcohol & that is it.

Ordinary Belgian blond beer. Good to taste once and forget it right away. Nothing more.

Clear goldenamber in color with a ring of white head. Aroma is little sweet, alcohol tones with a bit of a spice note in the end...the belgian yeast is strong.

15/III/14 - 33cl bottle @ 10de Zeelse Bierquiz - BB: n/a (2014-289)

Clear blond beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malts, hay, raw grains, some cooked vegetables, bit sourish, citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit malty, very metallic, some citrus, sourish touch, little bitter. Aftertaste: unpleasant bitterness, bit chemical, metallic. Always the metallic flavour in the blond beers from this region. :(

Clear straw, big fluffy fast disappearing head. Lots if spices, cloves, yeast, light sweet malts, later some red fruits. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Ok

Bottle at De Paas, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big crisp yeast. The flavour is medium bitter. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. The yeast dominates this beer. Refreshing but its yesterday’s style.

Pale blond, a lot of white foam, lots of carbonation. Sweet and malty, a bit peppery, aftertaste a bit bitter. Not special.

Beautiful fluffy head on this, but the rest tastes like a glorified lager. Very light in color, with lots of malt and grain presence. Slight bitter, musty aftertaste. I’m not impressed,(but a good looking label too)
