Sometimes to get what you really want, you’ve got to step outside of the lab and do things your own way. To escape the grind and seize an opportunity to make your own mark. The benefits can be surprising.

This isn’t your standard IPA. The piney, citrusy hop character hits your palate with striking crispness that fades quickly, leading to a mild, malt sweetness and dry finish. See you back in the lab.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver; 10oz
Cloudy golden color. Fruity aroma. The body is not too weak, but the malt flavor has a strong cereals component, paper, dust; strong bitterness. Resiny final.
Good beer, but needs a better job with the malt.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma is crisp, with dry crackery malt, some slight metallic notes, and dry grassy herbal hops. Flavour is crisp and rather aggressive, with dry herbal grassy hops and a great crisp crackery malt backbone. No unpleasant metallic tinges. Very well-balanced and with just the right amount of bite. Very good.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy golden yellow with orange tinge and white head. Light, piney hops, more flavour than most watery ISAs.

Bottle from Liquor Depot, Port Alberni. Amber and slightly hazy. Thin head. Nose is fun - gooseberries, pear, a bit of staler, woodier c hop. Tasty, lots of earthy hop with honeyish, floral characteristics. Very drinkable.

Bottle - Nice fresh grapefruit. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Pine and some resin with a nice bitterness. Easy drinking and pretty solid.
