A mild ale with all the freshness of maple syrup – and a little bit of springtime spice for good measure. This dark bronze ale is made with real maple syrup added right to the mash. Then, a trace of chai tea is added during the filtration process. The result is a highly complex, mildly spiced palate structure. One taste, and a simple truth is clear: complexity can be a very beautiful thing.

Medium brown with a bubbly head. Massive maple syrup, maybe some toastiness. Really thin body, yet still sweet. Cardamom and a whack of maple, maybe vanilla...pretty artificial. Hate to say this, but needs sugars for the body. If you’re going to make a sugar shack beer, stop fucking around. Make it taste like a meal at Pied de Cochon.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Medium-dark auburn brown with biege head. Aroma has a mix of spices and maple - a mild chai, some cardamom, almost a burdock and dandelion like spice. Flavour same with very mild nuttiness, dissipates quickly to a slightly watery finish.

Draught at Darby’s Public House, Vancouver
Dark brown color, almost no head. Light aroma of maple and spices, a bit artificial like a donut. Dry mouthfeel, a bit of caramel flavor, maple, and light spices. The lack of sweetness doesn’t go well with the maple.
Not interesting, a bit weird.

Draft - Maple, vanilla and chai spices. Deep clear brown with a rich light brown head. Graham cracker, syrup, some clove and light cardamom. Weird for sure, but surprisingly balanced and not as bad as it should be. Tastes like a maple gingerbread cookie.
