Dick’s Golden Ale is one of the lightest beers we produce. That doesn’t mean it is light in flavor!
This traditional British golden ale is brewed with 2-row malted barley and a touch of crystal malt, balanced with a substantial amount of hops. This recipe is one of Dick’s originals; a light, refreshing, crisp lawnmowing beer.

On tap at Dick's, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is bland as fuck, with notes of biscuity malt and light hoppiness. Not much character at all to this. Clean enough but fairly boring.

Draft - Light grains and pale malts. Clear gold with a nice white head. Nice cereal, grains, honey sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Quite nice.

Slightly hazy deep honey coloured body with a thick, luscious three centimetre tall off-white head - very creamy and nice. Aroma of pale malt, light lemons and cleanser, pledge, and a hint of herbal and floral hops. Light-bodied; Strong relatively pungent malt note with less than pleasant flavours, some funky grass and herbal notes and not much of anything else to speak of - no complexity, no sweetness, no horrible bitterness - just a slighty decent flavour with not much going on. Aftertaste shows more malt and funk than anything else - okay. Overall, an acceptable beer that doesn’t make me want to drink this ever again, but if you are from out of state and haven’t seen this before (just like me), definitely try it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington [State] on 10-February-2013 for US$1.66 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 14-March-2013.
