On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity peppery nose. Perfume. Banana, grainy, lemon peel, light sweet sugars. Solid.

On tap at fat head Portland pub. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a small white head. Nose is corn grain and some grassy notes. Taste is more of the grain and a nice belg yeast.

Tap at Fat Heads. Almost like a smoked Belgian. Very nice. Maybe a slight haze, hard to tell if it’s filtered. Balanced, not awkward, better than most US-Belgo ventures. The aroma of the smoke in the aroma is unmistakeable, but smooth and nice like a real Bamberg beer, not sticky and overly sweet. Has some Bierre de Garde tendencies. Medium bodied for a Belgian Ale.
