Underhopped for an ESB. Very similar to their other ales (traditional ale). It's well brewed but there's not a lot of flavour here that makes it stand out as anything special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Barley Brothers. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread and grain notes with a touch of sweetness underlying. Flavor combines earthy grass, bread and straw with a touch of sweetness.

Draft - Lots of sweet caramel with a touch of twig. Clear dark gold with a decent white head. Caramel and light bitterness. Not bad, but a bit boring.

On tap at Big Rock, pours a clear pale golden amber with a small white head. Nose brings out bready English malt and a dry toast character. Flavour is pleasant, with cereal, bready malt and toasted notes. Low hop profile but well-balanced. Decent stuff.

Draught at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
Amber color, clear, poured with almost no head. Rather dry amber ale, smooth, with caramel profile, lightly biscuity, surgically clean; correctly bitter; it doesn’t have the British character of an ESB, but it’s an easy, flawless Amber Ale.
