Draught at the brewery; 4.3% ABV
Hazy dark amber to brown color with creamy head. Mild caramel and yeast profile, low bitterness, rather dry but smooth. Touch of honey.
Simplistic Amber Ale.

Draft - Raisin and a bit of dried fruit. Cloudy copper with a rich beige head. Dried prune, light prune and malts. Not bad, but maybe a bit to light. I like my milds bold.

Cloudy amber. Huh? Never saw a cloudy amber mild before. Gotta fix that. Thin head. Not much aroma. Light malty character with light fruitiness. Touch of acidity in the finish. More like a bog standard bitter. Another beer with a low ceiling.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours an opaque dark amber orange with a small beige head. Nose is very restrained, with some light fruitiness and a touch of biscuity malt. Flavour is quite a bit different, with notes of butterscotch upfront, with a touch of fruitiness and a little English malt profile. Doesn't strike me as a mild - the butterscotch notes seem unintended. Not too good.
