Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a clear dark brown with a warm tint of red with and a beige head. Fat bourbon nose. Rather light body, roasted malts, plenty of vanilla and roast, some dried fruits and loads of Bourbon. A fun beer - try serving this for a German! 280110

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is distinct bourbon and wooden, dark caramelish. Mild fruity note. Sweet vanilla malty flavoured. Light bourbon warmth from back of the tongue. Smooth malty finish.

22oz bottle @Pauls Gathering Thanks JoeMcPhee-pours a brown ring for a head and dark brown color. Aroma is sour, bourbon, medium/dark malt. Taste is bourbon, medium/dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Somewhat hot.

Draught. Poured black with not much head. Pilsener like aroma, some malt, some grass. Malty medium body with pils like flavour except for some roast and oakiness. Pils like finish. But something didn’t quite gel.

Bottle shared by GoT @ otakudens Vero Beach Throwdown. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, vanilla, oak and a touch of boubon. Flavors of roasted malts, bourbon, vanilla and oak with a slight sourness. Full body with minimal carbonation.

Thanks again to tpd975. This is my first Shorts Brewing beer. Pours dark brown with amber and copper edges to go along with a light brown head. The aroma is wood, bourbon, vanilla and a sliver of caramel. The taste begins with a quick pulse of sweet malts, a hint of roasted malts and caramel. Then wood and bourbon rise up followed by a note of vanilla. Tasty stuff but for me it is balanced a little too much on the side of the barrel flavors. Just by a bit though.

Shared by notalush. Unforunately, this was another cool sounding Shorts beer that just turns out very average. Pours dark brown with a fizzy head. Aroma is light booze and light bark/earth. Taste is a bit bland with light watery dark malts. Easy drinking and a well attenuated lager.

Thanks to hailsquishface for this one - dark brown beer with a ruby tint, and a fizzy, short-lived head - the oak is more apparent than the bourbon in the aroma, and some vanilla and moderate spiciness round things out - the schwarz character is pretty much gone from the aroma - the reverse is true on the flavor - the schwarz flavors are all quite present, and the barrel character actually takes a back seat - the roasty flavor of the beer is complimented fairly well by the bourbon flavor - however, the beer is quite thin, and an ashy bitterness develops as it warms that throws things off a bit - slightly doughy finish - this gets points for being quite subdued for a bourbon-aged beer, but aside from that, it’s still kind of a middle of the road beer.
