On tap at Hair of the Dog, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose is almost tart, with bready caramel malts. Flavour is quite robust for a brown, bringing out wood, alcohol, caramel malts and English bready notes. Pretty strong for the style, with decent balance. Solid attempt.

Keg at HOTD, 11/11/14. Rich amber/chestnut brown with a moderate tan swirl. Nose is nutty, light char, toffee, dark fruit notes. Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, light spice, biscuit malt, hint of cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with bitter notes. Ok brown.
