[2/25/15] Draught at Baerlic Brewing in Portland. Dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of caramelly malt and piney hops. Sweetish malty and caramelly flavor with piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Draft - Caramel and hop bitterness. Cloudy brown with a decent white head. Caramel, twig and a hoppy bitter finish. Bit perfumy as well.

On tap at Baerlic, pours a hazy dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma is fairly subtle, with red fruits and spicy citrus hops - pretty restrained on the nose though. Flavour is well-balanced, with dry caramel malts and a decent citrus hop backing. Crafted well - the hops and malt are blended cohesively. Good stuff.

Keg at the brewery, 09/11/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is dark citric rinds, light spice, caramel, orange marmalade, pine needles. Taste comprises light spice, hint of minerals, toffee, dark malts, rich tropical notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok drinkable but nothing outstanding.
