Gregorius shimmers in the glass with a rich dark maroon colour. In the nose herbal and licorice aromas dominate, which are combined with ripe fruit notes. It presents a strong malt body, which is characterised by coffee and roasted aromas. Honey from the region and Alsatian wine yeast conjure up a nice sweet and sour game on the palate. Slightly bitter chocolate flavors accompany the warming finish of this powerful Trappist beer. Deep - Thoughtful.

330ml bottle from Silpo (thx, Vlad!). BB 2017-06-10. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dried fruits (dates, figs), caramel. Similar taste with some strange bitterness. Quite good.

0.33l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Hazy dark brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark sugar, raisins, plums, whiskey and surprisingly a bit of wood. Taste of caramel, sour cherries, peach, raisins and some whiskey again. Great beer.

Do stycznia 2017, to chyba ten rocznik. W bdb formie, bardzo owocowy, umiarkowanie przyprawowy, slodki, jak to jednak kazdy rocznik inny

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine beige media persistenza, color mogano, al naso malto caffè liquerizia miele e alcool, in bocca malto tostato caramello toffe, carbonatazione piatta, corpo strutturato, amaro accentuato che svanisce con l’elevata dolcezza finale. Impegnativa ma un’ottima birra

0.33 l bottle from Svijet piva, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Tanja 669. Had this at Pivkan few years back, just can’t seem to find the notes. Dark brown, small white head. Caramel, dry fruits - raisins or figs, wood, peat, liquor, nuts. Sweet, dried figs. Strong, medium body, sweet finish. Correctly made.

Huge malt bill. Massive prunes; leather & velvet. Really drinkable. Nice caramelisation. Icelandic caramel sweets. Malty beast.
