2022-01-13, bottle courtesy of Ferris, bottled 05 DEC 2012, 9 years ago, 8-4-9-4-17=42
Light sour note in the aroma, but it doesn't show any issue in the flavour; for the rest, it's still a delicious chocolate beer, moderately sweet, not hot, with just some slight trace of oxidation in the end.
2018-05-27, bottle from Zombier, Malaga, bottled 14/11/2011, 6+ years old, 8-5-8-4-17=42
Deep chocolate flavour, mild residual sweetness, touch of spirit barrel, smoke, dark fruits, tobacco, spice, black pepper. Showing light signs of age.
Wonderful.
2016-11-15, tasting at Matt's, bottled 05 Dec 2012, 4 years old, 8-4-9-4-18=43
Black oily color, the small head quickly reduces to just a few spare large bubbles. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, the phenol is quite strong, petrol. Strong body, powerful dark chocolate flavor, leather, phenol, roasted cashews, cocoa nibs.
Wonderful.
2010-06-06, draught (?), RBESG 2010 Grand Tasting, pulled with a plastic cup directly from the keg by Menno, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Black color, small head. Strong aroma of roasted malt. Good body strength, sweetish flavor, excellent chocolate, with light roasted malt and coffee. Extremely good balance is the winning key here.
Unforgettable experience on the RBESG bus!
2010-04-03, bottle, tasting at Papsø, 6-4-8-3-15=36
Black color; small layer of bubbles. The dustiest aroma of burnt malts and burnt coffee. Sweet chocolate and coffee flavor, correct bitterness, with some light burnt malt and ashes here and there, luckily less prominent than in the aroma. Good, but a step backward, instead of being a step forward.

As with the Wild Turkey version, this one poured black, headless and thick. Similarly nice base of dark chocolate, coffee and roasty, fruity malt. The sweet cognac note is just wonderful and complements the stout very nicely. Taste seems sweeter than the WT version but it’s got a similar tannic touch in the finish. Lots of fruity dark malt, molasses and more cognac on the palate. Fairly thick. Low carbonation. Interesting and tasty stout.

Opaque black color, not much head. Aroma is a bit strange: intensive roasted malts, alcohol, licorice and onions(!). Full bodied, very thick. Warming cognac in the flavor, wood, some vegetables, vanilla, lots of alcohol, roasted malts and licorice. Flat mouthfeel. Cognac is not working so well here, I prefer a Misto-version, which I had recently.
