Copper orange with a white head. Strong citrus and floral notes with a decent sweet malt backbone. Finish starts with orange bitterness and quickly morphs to a sweet end. Medium bodied. A solid beer.

I’m enjoying this recent trend of mine, taking beers out of Ratebeer hiatus. It’s fun, and also I realize that it’s because everyone else who lives here has already rated it back when I was in High school. Maybe not this one, but still. On foot Seattle crawl, stop #1. Dark copper pour with a big bubble ring head. Aroma is incredible, with tangerine and grapefruit. Citrus fruit flavor up front, with a moderate hop bitterness, and a bit of a dry finish. This is a solid, incredible triple, in a style that I constantly find inconsistencies. Nothing off putting with this. Cool flavor theoughout, great fruit citeus, and a solid hop profile. One of the best beers I’ve had with "the" in the name. Of not the best. Loved it.

[3/2/15] Draught at Big Time Brewery in Seattle. Love the name! Clear copper. Aroma of resinous hops, a bit “green”, some slightly caramelly malt and an alcoholic note. Flavor with sweet caramelly malt, resinous hops, piney and citric, and a bitter finish with a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, a bit oily.

On tap at Naked City, pours a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, resinous hops and caramel malts. Flavour of earthy hops, quite a dirty flavour profile, with subtler tropical fruits, caramel malt and a bit of booze. Earthy and dirty. The name resembles what it's mocking, but not the beer. Good, but lacking.
