Blonde with a thin head. The aroma has light smoke and pale malts. Has a nice beech smoke taste, the pale malts providing a nice sweetness but thinning out late to the detriment of the finish.

Poured from the tap. Clear, pale yellow with white head. Aroma of mild smoke and corn malt. Taste is simply a dominant smoked malt with subtle corn and cereal malt in the background. Simple, focussed smoked beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a fairly clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light smoky notes and a little herbal spiciness. Flavour is balanced well, with herbal spicy notes and a little smoke. Smooth and clean - highly drinkable. Good stuff.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10oz
Blond color, relatively clear, with medium sized head, and nice lace. There is some smoke aroma, but too mild. Flavor of cereals and hay, the mouthfeel is soft, it has a medium level of smokiness, just the right amount, and the final is also a bit grassy; a bit sweetish, and this is maybe the only note out of tune. Clean beer, focused.
Very good!
