Draft pour pint at Wander. Dark copper pour with a white foam ring head. Aroma is nutty malt. Flavor is a caramel, raisin mix, with a malt dominated linger. Sweet sugar caramel finish. Overall a good dubbel, but variety is tough for me with this style.

On Tap at the Bellingham Brewery Rich reddish amber wiwth lasting light tan head,. Soft pitted fruit malty flavors. Again, very muted signature belgianyeast notes. Pretty plan and uninteresting,. Peasant enough just not very Belgian-ish

On tap at Wander, pours a cloudy bronze with a small beige head. Aroma is very Belgiany, with notes of Belgian spices, toasted nuts and toffee. Flavour is extremely well-rounded, with notes of toffee and spicy Belgian yeast. Fairly sweet for the style, but not cloying. Nice stuff.

Draught at the brewery, 7.2% ABV
Dark amber color with compact head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and light fruitiness, esters. Good body strength, with little residual sweetness; caramel flavor, quite fruity, candyish, also sucre candi, strong bitterness for the style, but they seem to use an American Belgian yeast strain, and that doesn’t have enough character.
It seems they did a good work with the malts, but need to change the yeast.

Cloudy light brown and flat. Aroma is toasty popcorn, sweet, touch fruity. A touch sweet and lacking complexity.
