Hazy, and a light brown. Not much smoke on the nose, oxidized. Light toast with a hint of toffee, touch oxidized, sweet finish on this.

650mL bottle, pours a dark orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, toasted bread and moderate smoke. Flavour is big time oxidation, with mild caramel, light smoke and toasted bread. Old, but still has traces of flavour and decent complexity. Solid.

650ml at Josh. Vintage 2014. Aroms is almost not smoky, but with candied cherry notes. Same taste. Pleasant, but shouldn’t be aged to keep smoke character.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Mahogany color, with small head. Mild aroma of smoke, caramel, candi sugar. The mouthfeel is too thin, a bit on the dry side too; the flavor is basically caramel, with some smoke.
It’s a decent beer, but there is Aecht Schlenkerla out there to take as example; this one is on that path, but miles away, too simple; it needs more body, more malt flavor; the smoke is enough, and the bitterness is in balance.

Bottle - Nice wood smoke and dark malts. Deep dark maroon with a rich beige head. Cocoa and smoke, nice balance and a light caramel finish. Very nice.
